On the 14th of August 2007, a new organization was founded in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, the Bulgarian Golfers Greenkeepers Association (B.G.G.A).

The B.G.G.A was formed to bring the necessary education into the new developing golf course industry here in Bulgaria. Being a new industry it is essential that local people be trained to maintain and develop the golf courses which are being built.

It was an historical moment and has only been made possible with the immense support of company Kirov.

The company Kirov, which is owned by Mr. Kiro Kirov is the biggest supplier for earthmoving machinery (Komatsu) in Bulgaria and is also the sole Bulgarian distributor for Toro maintenance machinery. The company Kirov has signed a 3 year main sponsorship contract with the Bulgarian Golfers Greenkeepers Association. In a very short time and with a lot of energy and support, we all succeeded to create and establish this new organization. The management board is proud to have such a strong company with great support, behind them.
